Hello
My name is Walter Stubbs. I am currently retired with the full time job of raising
sheep and making furniture.
I started wood working when I was young. During my career with the Southern Illinois University Library
I continued working with wood, making christmas gifts and home projects.
Retirement has allowed me to take orders and
build custom work. All items are solid wood unless stated otherwise and I use the time honored tradition of mortise and tenon
construction. Which does take longer to build but will last for generations.
On the pages following, you will see
some examples of my work. Some of the smaller pieces I tend to have on hand. Other, larger items would have to be built to
order. Allow 2-3 months for custom orders.
